Who can ever forget the incredible touch down scored by Jack Hoffman during the Huskers spring game in 2013? The one that earned Jack the ESPY for most Memorable Moment on ESPN. It was later announced that Jack’s cancer had gone into remission but as with any cancer treatments, Jack would still have to go in for periodic check-ups. It was during one of these check-ups it was discovered the tumor had grown and in August, Jack’s parents posted an update that Jack’s tumor has grown and he would have to return to Boston to start treatments once again. Jack is one of 14 children worldwide that is participating in a pediatric brain cancer trial. As the Hoffmans’ so often emphasize, Jack is not the only child with brain cancer, over 15,000 children will be diagnosed with some type of cancer this year. Their family has been given the opportunity to be able to set up the Team Jack Foundation with all of the support from Husker athletes.
Join us on Saturday, November 15th, as we show our support not only for our Huskers but for Team Jack as well. We will have some special items to raffle along with The Big Board. All proceeds for the day will go toward Team Jack.
If you are not able to make it to Team Jack Day, we will continue to take donations until the end of November during the Husker watch parties.
GBR!!!
