Happy Holiday Season to all, and I think you know what I mean, and to all a good night. As we all know by now, Nebraska is playing in a bowl game against UCLA on Sarurday night, December 26, at 9:15 PM. Even though the Huskers were 5-7, they apparently qualified because of some mythical grade average. We all know it's because Nebraska travels well and the western states Big Red Fans will show up to support their team. These two teams have played twelve times and the record is 6-6. So this is sort of a rubber match. Coach Riley has had success against Pac 12 teams in the past, can he do it again.
The Bruins did not have a great year and are looking to improve their record. The Huskers fell short way too many times and would like to salvage a little pride with a win. Their freshman sensation quarterback will be playing so their offense should be interesting. Our young men have been practicing hard and hopefully will not be making any of those mistakes that have cost them some games this year. We'll see.
Speaking of Husker fans showing up, how about joining Georgians for Nebraska on game day (night) at Coldbrews in Roswell and watch this final football game for our beloved Huskers for the 2015 campaign. It will give all of us a chance to see each other for probably the final time until B1G events start up in 2016. 880 Holcomb Bridge Rd. is the address.
Hope to see you there,
Ric
GO BIG RED!!!
